On-the-job training
For those starting out on their careers, the first few days are an important milestone in their professional development.
We are particularly keen to ensure that the new employee feels at home at our company in order that he or she has the motivation to tackle his/her new tasks. We attach great importance to a systematic introductory period.
Our introductory training programme takes the form of on-the-job training and is characterised by:
-
Supervision of the new employee during the introductory training phase, with the support of a "mentor"
-
An on-the-job training plan of at least one year which sets out a timetable for the subjects to be covered
-
Orientation and feedback discussions with superiors
The "mentor" helps the new employee to establish contacts, familiarises him/her with both written and unwritten rules, shows him/her round the company and acquaints him/her with its facilities, and is also the person to turn to in case of problems.
The key element of the introductory training programme is the on-the-job training plan for each individual post. It sets out a timetable for the subjects to be covered, which range from initial to complex tasks as well as needs-based skills development.
