Process Description

To remove hydrogen sulphide as selectively as possible, the raw feed gas is first brought into contact with the CO2-enriched solvent leaving the CO2 absorption column. Carbon dioxide absorption is performed using the semi-lean solvent from the flash regeneration stages and lean solvent from the thermal regeneration in the desorber.

The vapours from the thermal regeneration mainly contain hydrogen sulphide for the recovery of sulphur. The carbon dioxide vent gas from the flash stages can be emitted, recompressed for injection or used for recovery.
