Overview

With its Edeleanu Refining Technologies division Uhde provides complete service packages for grass-roots plants, plant conversions and revamps in the field of Oil Refining from conceptual design to the lump-sum turnkey realisation of plants.

Crude Oil Processing

Edeleanu Refining Technologies has many years’ experience in the field of crude processing, covering both atmospheric or vacuum distillation using either proprietary or third-party technology. Uhde’s competence is demonstrated by the latest successfully commissioned reference plants (see experience).

Catalytic Processing

One of Uhde’s core competences is naphtha and middle distillate processing. In line with the 2005 European regulations requiring a reduction in the maximum sulphur content of transportation fuels to less than 10 ppm, our Edeleanu Refining Technologies division has successfully completed more than 15 plants for the production of low-sulphur diesel or low-sulphur gasoline all over Europe. Owing to our wealth of experience in the field of catalytic processing, Uhde is also familiar with catalytic reforming, hydrocracking, FCC, isomerisation and alkylation as well as visbreaking.

Ethers

Uhde licences processes for the production of ethers such as MTBE, ETBE (including the conversion of existing MTBE plants to ETBE production), TAME, TAEE and DME.

Other Processes and Offsites

Furthermore, Uhde is experienced in the design and implementation of oil and residue gasification, gas processing / treatment and offsites such as utilities and tank farms.
