Technologies fit for the future - resource-conserving processes for energy conversion
As global demand for resources continues to rise despite limited reserves, the long-term balance between environmental compatibility, reliable energy supplies and economic efficiency is the big challenge facing the world today. If we are to go some way to finding a solution, technologies which are fit for the future are required for energy conversion or the production of key chemical precursors.
As a recognised supplier of environment-friendly gasification technologies (inter alia PRENFLO™, HTW) and gas treatment processes, our gas technologies division is in a good position to meet these requirements. We have expanded our gas technologies portfolio in line with market demands. In addition to forward-looking gasification technologies for coal, petcoke, biomass and oil, as well as gas treatment processes and dehydrogenation based on Uhde's STAR process® our portfolio now also includes plants for the production of synthetic fuels based on ExxonMobil's MTG (Methanol-to-Gasoline) process, for example for state-of-the-art Coal-to-Liquids (CTL) plants.
